Buyer's Guide
7g vs 14g vs Oz
Bigger jars come with steeper discounts — but only count if you can finish them before quality drops.
Buying flower in bulk feels smart. The per-gram price drops with every step up. But there's an invisible cost: terpene degradation over time. Premium flower starts losing its peak character at around 90 days, even in a sealed jar.
The Real Cost-Per-Gram Math
| Size | Typical Price | Per-Gram | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3.5g (Eighth) | $45 | $12.86 | First-time buyers, sample drop |
| 7g (Quarter) | $80 | $11.43 | Casual users, 2–3 weeks |
| 14g (Half-O) | $140 | $10.00 | Regular users, 4–6 weeks |
| 28g (Oz) | $240 | $8.57 | Daily users, share with friends |
When Bigger ISN'T Better
Buying an ounce only saves money if you finish it within 60 days. After that, terpene loss starts catching up. By 90 days you're smoking the same flower at noticeably reduced flavor and effect — even with proper storage.
Here's the rule: only buy what you'll smoke in 8 weeks max. Anything beyond that and you're better off splitting the order across two strains.
How to Buy Right
- You smoke ~1g per day: Half-O is your sweet spot.
- You smoke ~0.5g per day: Quarter (7g).
- You smoke socially / weekends only: Eighth (3.5g).
- You're stocking up for a trip / event: Oz with airtight storage.
